The Marianas Visitors Authority has promoted summer travel to the Northern Mariana Islands through Japanese media, including:
- A cover story entitled “Everything You Can Do in The Marianas: Saipan, Tinian, and Rota” in the April 23 issue of CanCam, a women’s magazine that circulates 213,000 copies monthly.
- A special feature entitled “Probably the No. 1 Trip This Year! 7 Reasons to Go to The Marianas Now When You Plan a 2- night, 3-day Trip” launched on April 24 by Retrip, a Japanese travel website, which receives 26 million users a month. Two more features will be posted on the website in May and June.
- A four-page feature entitled “How to Enjoy Three Islands of The Marianas,” published on April 28 in Oggi, a women’s magazine that circulates 220,000 copies monthly.
In July, MVA will host a familiarization tour with Tabi MUSE, a travel website targeting women ages 20 to 40.
