The Marianas Visitors Authority has named Korean celebrities Park Ji-yoon and Lee Jae-hoon as tourism ambassadors for Saipan, Tinian and Rota until August 2017. The two will actively promote the Northern Mariana Islands on their social media outlets, through media tie-up programs and by hosting or performing at select MVA events.

Park is a former anchor for the Korean Broadcasting System. She is now a blogger, TV personality and entrepreneur. She recently launched a swimsuit line and a smoothie brand. Her Instagram account has more than 325,000 followers.

Lee, a member of the Korean pop music group Cool that debuted in 1994, is now a solo artist and media personality. He is known as a life stylist that enjoys a variety of leisure activities, such as sports, traveling and dining. Lee’s Instagram account has nearly 45,000 followers.
