The first in a series of signs bearing the names of each of the Northern Mariana Islands was erected in Marpi, Saipan in June. The sign is eight feet high and is set against a green forest and ocean horizon to provide a photo opportunity for visitors and residents. Signs will be produced for “The Marianas,” to be placed at the Civic Center on Beach Road and other locations, and for Tinian and Rota. The NMI is presently marketing itself as the Marianas, as distinct from Guam.
Ideal Signs produced the first in a series of iconic signs for the Northern Mariana Islands. (From left) Naomi Santos, product development specialist; Christopher A.
