The Pacific Asia Travel Association presented the 2017 Award of Excellence to PATA Micronesia Chapter for its approach to marketing an expansive region. PATA Micronesia, which includes the islands groups of the Northern Marianas, Palau, the Federated States of Micronesia and the Marshall Islands.
The Micronesia Chapter was recognized for its creation of interactive experiences at major global travel trade shows in core markets, and developing face-to-face personal interaction with potential visitors and travel planners. The chapter also capitalized on digital and social media campaigns to share Micronesia’s culture, people and natural beauty. Guam, is the only chapter in the organization to represent more than one destination.
This is the third Award of Excellence bestowed on the PATA Micronesia Chapter.
