A journalist and photo journalist from Asahi Shimbun, one of Japan’s largest nationwide newspapers, visited the Northern Mariana Islands on Aug. 27 to 28 to collect aerial photos of World War II and sightseeing sits for a September feature. The publication has a readership of 6.6 million.
