Trends by G is a 1,500-square-foot retail boutique opened by Glendalyn C. Carolino under Polyphase System Inc. The store sells clothing for men, women and children as well as bags, perfumes, accessories, electronics, household goods and seasonal items. The products are personally selected by Carolino from Los Angeles and include the brands Nicole Lee, Akaiv Los Angeles and Handbag Republic.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Gud Munchies

Opened: Feb. 27

Location: The Plaza Shopping Center, Tumon

Hours: 11 a.m. – 10 p.m., Monday – Friday

Owners: Troy Sagun and Robert Delos Reyes

Gud Munchies serves made-to-order ice cream rolls, which first came to popularity in Thailand and are now available throughout other Asian countries as well. The rolls are made before the customer with their choice of mix-ins and topping options, such as chocolate candies and fruits. The menu also has a signature flavors section, which has six options for customers who choose not to create their own “munchies.” Gud Munchies also offers Illy coffee, Mighty Leaf tea and syrup add-ins for the tea.

 

Tommy’s Pizza Shoppe

Opened: Jan. 27

Location: 347 W. O’Brien Dr., Hagåtña

Hours: 11 a.m. – 7 p.m., Monday – Saturday

Owner: Thomas Aguon-Rojas

Tommy’s Pizza Shoppe serves New York-style pizza as 18-inch pies or in single slices. The restaurant started solely as take-out but has recently been renovated to accommodate around 25 dine-in customers. A grand opening in April will unveil its dine-in seating expansion.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Steel Athletics

Opened: Feb. 15

Tamuning (across from Guam Greyhound Park)

Hours: 5:30 a.m. – 9 p.m., Monday – Friday

Steel Athletics is a gym opened by JJ “Superman” Ambrose, a professional mixed-martial arts fighter. The gym provides training space and equipment for professional athletes and people of all skill levels. Classes are offered in different types of combat, including Muay Thai, boxing and wrestling.

The Property Shop is a real estate brokerage office designed for customers to research their own real estate needs. The shop’s walls are lined with current real estate listings by category and sales price, and tablets are available in the store as well for customers to conduct searches of propertyshop.shop, a webpage with a robust search engine for all of Guam’s multiple listings.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Saipan Comfort Homes

Opened: March 6

Location: Chalan Tun Antonio Apa, Lower Dandan

Owner: Triple J Saipan

Triple J Saipan’s second housing project, Saipan Comfort Homes, is a complex of 40 two-bedroom, two-bathroom units. It is part of the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit Program that allows the use of private equity for the development of affordable housing. The $21 million project initially broke ground in April last year.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Thrive Saipan Medi-Spa

Opened: Feb. 6

Location: Watkins Building on Middle Road, Gualo Rai

Hours: 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., Monday – Friday

Owner: Dr. Nelson and Donna Krum

Doctors: Dr. Nelson Krum, Dr. Paul M. Gahlinger

Thrive Saipan Medi-Spa is Saipan’s first medical spa. The 2,000-square-foot facility includes a chelation room, two cool sculpting and cavitation rooms, a room for Botox and a Cell Wellbeing machine. All of Thrive’s services are elective procedures. The doctors offer a complimentary evaluation.

 

Women Sense Acupuncture

Opened: January

Location: Annex Building on Middle Road

Hours: 8 a.m. – 2 p.m., Monday – Saturday

Owner and therapist: Yeo Jung No

Women Sense Acupuncture is a women-only acupuncture clinic, offering acupuncture and other therapies, including electric stimulation, electric massage, electric acupuncture, air cupping, fire cupping, cupping massage, triple moxa, hand moxa, acupressure, ear-seed, sports taping, skin care, skin needle and urgent care. In addition to the various therapies, the clinic offers expertise of herbal teas and natural remedies for ailments, including hypertension, diabetes, insomnia and joint and muscle pain.
