Historian Don A. Farrell held a book signing on June 30 at the American Memorial Park Visitors Center for his latest publication, “Saipan: A Brief History.” The book details Saipan’s history, touching on significant historical and economic periods, including the island’s colonization by Spain and Germany, the World War II era and modern-day tourism. “Saipan: A Brief History” is also available in Korean and Chinese and is the third in a series published by Farrell’s company, Micronesian Productions. The series includes “Tinian: A Brief History” and “Guam: A Brief History.” The book-signing event on June 30 for “Saipan: A Brief History,” authored by Don A.
