Judith A. Bennet, editor of the “Mother’s Darlings of the South Pacific: The Children of Indigenous Women and U.S. Servicemen, World War II,” and fellow academics and contributors launched the book during the Pacific History Association conference held on May 21 at the Hyatt Regency Guam. The book contains a series of stories collected by various contributors about the experiences of Pacific Islander women and their children conceived during World War II by members of the U.S. military.
